Rebooting Gistcaster

Unlike today, there were not too many Nigerian startups and online destinations in 2009. I started Gistcaster right alongside many others who also sprung up. I still vividly remember Yarnable, YarnPad, Naijaborn, Turenchi, and many other Nigerian tech startups that started that period.

Today, only a handful of these startups are still online; most of them are dead, or simply deserted as a ghost town.

Over the years, I’ve managed to somehow stubbornly hang on to Gistcaster.com, not letting go, keeping my hopes alive that one day I was going to return to work at Gistcaster and start all over again. 2014 is that year!

The interesting thing is that the gap I wanted Gistcaster to fill is still out there, the problems Gistcaster wanted to solve are still unsolved. I take that as a sign from God that He really wants me to reboot up Gistcaster, and that’s what we gonna do! This year 2014, its all about Gistcaster! Omnific Works has taken a break alongside all its numerous projects… All grounded! This year, its just Gistcaster and a music blog I plan to run fully as my personal projects while my freelancer work keeps going strong (If you want to develop anything; website or App – I’m your man!).

It is interesting that in 2014, I will be working on Gistcaster and a Music blog because that is exactly the state I was in 2009: Gistcaster and a Music site (Anyone remembers RiRanWo.com??). So, in some ways I am indeed back to start all over from where I was in 2009 only that this time I will be working with the knowledge and lessons learnt last time.

People say persistence is the key; My Mentor always encourages me to ‘Dig again’, to take a clue from Isaac and never stop trying until I get to my Rehoboth.

So, this is it folks, A persistent Ademola Morebise is digging back into Gistcaster.

Stay tuned!

P.S.
It has been decided that the brand for my music blog will be…. OneCrier 😉

RIP M Academy, Long live Mighty Academy

Breaking News: Ademola Job Morebise has just announced that M Academy will be renamed Mighty Academy effectively immediately!

Further inquires and Ademola says the name change was imminent and that it better reflects the Academy’s mission of providing practical wisdom, insights and training to transform people into a Mighty force in entrepreneurship, business, leadership, creativity and innovation.

He added that he did something similar to this with Omnific Works in 2012.

We wish him all the best with this venture.

M is pissed… Ishmael is not good example!

This morning, a broadcast came in on my BBM from a “business consultant”, part of the things he shared was:

“Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac, years later the two biggest religions and wealthiest tribes (Jews and Arab) can be traced back to the two…. That’s the law of Networking and People”

I was instantly pissed off! How can you make such a deduction? What sort of seeds will such a statement plant in the hearts of the immature?

The bible states clearly in Gal 4: 21-31 that Ishmael is the son of the bondwoman, in a human effort to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. Why then should we continue to talk about the silly mistakes of Father Abraham as if there is anything to pride about in it?

Abraham made mistakes and staggered, that is how Ishmael and the Arab guys came to be, and that is how Islam and Jihad came into existence too, and just as Ismael the child of human effort persecuted Isaac, the child born by the power of the Spirit, nowadays we have Muslims and Boko Haram persecuting christians everywhere.

The “two sons” never networked! Ishmael’s mum; Hagar was rude to Sarai, Ishmael persecuted the anointed Isaac and where both sent off! The ONLY reason Ishmael went on to create a great nation of his own is due to the Abrahamic covenant and blessing that he received a measure of.

The statement quoted above therefore is a lie from hell and such things shouldn’t be broadcasted around.

Who can disrupt Twitter or render it obsolete?

Who can disrupt Twitter? Or render it obsolete?

Heello tried, its nice look and feel didn’t stop it from becoming a Ghost Town. In Nigeria; Yarnable, YarnPad and my own Gistcaster also tried and failed.

So… As people glamour for us to bring back Gistcaster, I just can’t help but feel its not a smart move. You cannot win Twitter in the microblogging niche or what do you think?

No PermaFriend

I don’t have permanent friendships and relationships. What I have are permanent principles and that’s why people come and go in my life because I just won’t compromise or break my principles.

All I do is to keep my eyes on the God-given vision and keep confessing His promises to Me… I’m sure that I’ll get there, it is those that will be by my side when I do that I don’t know (or even bother about).
